In God’s Time
Galatians 1:15
But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called by His grace.
“Are we there yet?” is the question most parents dread and quickly become annoyed with whenever taking a long trip with young children. The concept of time is often lost on them and the fact that it is only 10 seconds since the last time they asked, the question remains valid in their precious minds. We as adults though are often guilty of the same thing in our lives. For some they may be looking toward retirement, others may be the next race season, and still some others are looking for stability in their life. We wonder what is taking God so long to accomplish in us or for us our desires. In the verse above Paul relates that his going from persecuting Christians to becoming one of Christianity’s greatest men was planned by God. I am sure most of us would wonder about the wasted years and lost opportunities if we only would have known sooner. The fact is God had a special design for Paul’s ministry and was developing His servant in His time for His purpose. God has a plan for each of us; can we be patient enough for Him to accomplish His plan in our lives?
